Beyoncé once said, “It must cost a billion to look this good,” and now she can afford it.
The Grammy Award winner is now billionairebecoming the fifth musician to reach the milestone of wealth, Forbes said on Monday.
Beyoncé's husband Jay-Z was the first music artist who will become a billionaire on the Forbes list in 2019. The elite club also includes RihannaBruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.
Beyoncé's billionaire status comes on the heels of her Cowboy Carter Tour, which generated more than $400 million in ticket sales, according to Polstar. This also came right after her hugely successful “Renaissance World Tour”, which she later made into a film that premiered in cinemas across the United States in 2023.
In addition to her musical accomplishments, which include a record number of Grammy wins and nominations, Beyoncé had other business ventures that contributed to her enormous wealth, Forbes noted.
The 44-year-old founded production company Parkwood Entertainment in 2010 and launched her hair care brand Cécred last year. Also in 2024, Beyoncé will debut whiskey brand SirDavis in partnership with Moët Hennessy.
Beyoncé, full name Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, has also collaborated with Adidas on her clothing line for several years. Ivy Parkwhich she launched in 2016.
According to Forbes, in 2025 there will be more than 3,000 billionaires in the world.
