SHIKA-Q Has Opened a Global Public Playtest on Steam

Join the battles in Shika-Q

Agni Flare Inc. launched a global public gaming test on Steam for SHIKA-Qan ultra-competitive puzzle game created by a small, independent team. Testing will take place worldwide from Sunday, December 28, 2025 to Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

This version is a preview build that introduces the main features of SHIKA-Q. The full game is currently planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Agni Flare has not yet confirmed a release date for the Steam version.

SHIKA-Q is a fast-paced puzzle game that takes place on a 10×10 board. Players connect the links, making quick attacks and defending against opponents in real time. The game focuses on speed, strategy and precision, creating short but intense matches that reward keen reflexes and astute decision-making.

What sets SHIKA-Q apart is its use of vocals as a core element of the gameplay. Music is tightly integrated into each match, with vocals symbolizing the flow of the game and enhancing immersion through a clear connection between sound and mechanics.

The Steam Playtest allows players to experience SHIKA-Q's core systems in two main modes. Versus's offline mode supports matches against CPU opponents, as well as local battles for two players on the same device, offering a clear understanding of the speed and intensity of the game. Challenge Mode is a single-player high-score game featuring levels from 1 to 99, with a play test allowing you to progress up to level 20. The difficulty and tempo dynamically change with the music.

Online features such as matchmaking, leaderboards, and battle passes are not included in the playtest. The trial version features four playable characters and five music tracks. The full game will include ten free characters at launch, with additional characters and vocal tracks included in future Battle Pass content.
