Add Indica to Your Shelf
Silver Lining Interactive has partnered with developer Odd Meter and digital publisher 11 bit studios to bring INDIKA to the Nintendo Switch in a physical edition. Players can now experience the acclaimed third-person story-driven adventure with Silver Lining Straight or selected local retailers. This is a great opportunity for collectors to add a vibrant boxed edition to their shelves.
INDICA is set in an alternate version of early nineteenth-century Russia. Here religious beliefs collide with harsh and often absurd realities. Players follow Indica, a young nun trying to survive the harsh, routine conditions of monastic life. When she ventures beyond the walls of the monastery on a seemingly simple errand, her journey quickly turns into something much stranger. She is accompanied by the devil, whose constant presence turns her journey into a surreal and darkly comic exploration of faith, power, doubt and suffering.
Although Indica seems quiet and docile, her inner world tells a completely different story. An unusual relationship with a horned companion takes her into a landscape inspired by classical Russian literature. It perfectly combines philosophical reflections and sharp satire. The game juxtaposes the sacred and the profane, allowing each new location and encounter to reveal deeper layers of meaning.
Odd Meter, an independent studio originally based in Moscow and now operating in Kazakhstan, developed INDIKA. The game pays a lot of attention to atmosphere and experimentation. And it all combines dark exploration, inventive puzzles, dark humor and a distinctive visual style. If you want to know more about it, read our official review now. Here!
