Tensions run high at the Pop-Tarts Bowl between BYU Cougars and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday night.
While Georgia Tech led for most of the game, BYU mounted a storming comeback to win the game 25-21. The Cougars finished the season 12–2, while Georgia Tech finished the year 9–4.
The Pop-Tarts brought the fun to bowling and the competition was down to earth.

Pop-Tarts are firmly rooted in the bowl game

Most bowling games that have no stakes are written off as boring or pointless. But Pop-Tarts brought the fun for the third year in a row. Part of this was due to the unique design of the end zone and sideline. BYU and Georgia Tech had their school names accompanied by splashes in the end zones. Splashes were also featured on the sideline and on each player's helmet.
Ring of Honor Pop Tarts
Pop-Tarts presented their Ring of Honor at Camping World Stadium, paying tribute to the Pop-Tarts that were eaten in the previous two bowl games. Cookies and Crème, Hot Fudge Sundae and Frosted Wild Berry held commemorative jackets and did their best to honor the strawberry and cinnamon roll.

Pre-game opening
It wasn't the Ohio State University band dotting the I's, but it was still fun. The Pop-Tarts held a pre-game ceremony to show the crowd Orlando, Floridawhich Pop-Tarts were introduced for the bowl game. The six Pop-Tarts were divided into two teams – Team Sprinkles and Team Swirls. The toppings included Protein Slammin' strawberries, cookies and cream and frozen cherries. The Swirls included chocolate chip cookie dough, frozen wild berries and frozen hot fudge ice cream.
Bear Bachmeier leads the comeback

The Cougars trailed 21-10 in the fourth quarter and needed to dig deep to somehow pull out the win. A blocked Georgia Tech field goal with 55 seconds left in the third quarter sparked the comeback. Touchdowns from Enoch Navahin and Jovesa Damuni and Bachmeier's two-point conversion helped BYU win the game.

Protein Slammin' Strawberry to the rescue
Pop-Tart Bowl The reward would be a record three cakes, which would be dropped into a giant toaster for the winning team to enjoy. Protein Slammin' Strawberry, Cookies, Crème and Cherry danced to the music on top of the toaster and awaited their fate.
Protein Slammin' Strawberry held a sign that read, “Not my dream…yet.” The dough then jumped off the toaster and ran away. The message that the Pop-Tarts should have said, “You haven't seen the last of me yet!”
Cookies, cream and cherry pies were tossed into the toaster and served to the champions as a giant treat.
