How to complete Missing in Action in Escape from Tarkov – Destructoid

The Missing Person quest is the first of several missions added to Escape from Tarkov as part of the Kolotun Christmas event, and completing it can be a real challenge.

The quest requires you to first find certain items and then place them on different maps. This guide will help you identify all the right spots and places where you need to place things.

Walkthrough of the quest “Escape from Tarkov: Missing in Action”

The Missing Person quest begins after talking to Prapor, who will provide you with three different equipment.

• Three rations of “Iskra”
• Three bottles of Tarkovskaya vodka.
• Three packs of buckwheat Arseniy

Move all three items into your backpack. You will need to place one of these three items in certain areas on the following maps:

• Woods
• Book
• Denouement

For your convenience, I have marked the location of all three places in the screenshots.

Woods

The place you need to get to is located next to the evacuation point on the Outskirts, in the House of the Wild. Enter the hut through the side door and turn left. You will reach the main room and there will be a couple of boxes in one of the corners. Interact with the location to place all the items. You don't have to survive or get out successfully.

The quest will count your progress once you have installed all three items.

Book

The reserve location is located next to the armored train evacuation point. Go to the marked location and you will find a small one-story house. Go inside and turn right, there will be a table by the door in the next room. Place the items at this point to complete the second set of objectives.

Denouement

The last location will require you to visit the expansion area at the roundabout. This is a new area near the shopping center, added during update 1.0. Get to the area where the large neon light sign of the IDEA shopping center is located. From there, go past the carts to find the entrance through the hills. This is the same path you will have to follow to reach Extraction from the smugglers' tunnel.

Go past the fuel truck and you will find a hut on the right (in front of a yellow van). Go inside and you can plant items. The extraction point is quite close, so you can safely leave the map with everything you have in your inventory.
