Pathea Games' upcoming action title, The God Slayer, has been turning heads since its release, largely due to how confident it looks in motion. Comparisons to famous films, games, and animated series soon followed, and the studio made it clear that these influences were intentional. Instead of hiding them, the developers used a wide range of ideas to form a combat system built on rhythm, spectacle and player control.

To achieve this goal, the studio went so far as to create its own motion capture system specifically for Godkiller, ensuring that every movement is thoughtful and expressive.

The team studied classic martial arts cinema, especially films starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li, as well as Hong Kong action films from the 1980s. Through this influence, they learned how choreography and camera framing kept combat dynamic, even when one fighter faced overwhelming odds. By focusing on one enemy at a time, they make the action readable, fluid, and cinematic.
