Canadian offensive lineman Logan Taylor has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl College All-Star Game, the first step on his path to the 2026 NFL Draft.
Taylor spent the last three seasons at Boston College, where he was a team captain and versatile player in the trenches. He played 36 games for the Eagles – 17 at left tackle, 10 at left guard, eight at right tackle and one at right tackle. earning second-team All-ACC recognition in 2025as well as honorable mentions in 2023 and 2024.
The six-foot-seven, 312-pound blocker began his collegiate career at the University of Virginia, where he played in 12 games and made 10 starts at tackle over two seasons. He graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia to attract NCAA offers.
A native of Lunenburg, N.S., was a promising player in second place in the fall ranking of the CFL Scouting Bureau.but is expected to receive significant attention from NFL teams due to his size and pedigree.
The oldest college football all-star game in existence. Thousands of East-West Shrine Bowl alumni have played in the NFL over the past century, including 78 inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Defenseman Kurtis Rourke was the only Canadian invited to play in 2025although he was unable to participate due to a knee injury.
However, the Shrine Bowl previously invited one to three players from U Sports to play each year. this program was discontinued in 2024.
The 101st East-West Shrine Bowl is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, January 27, at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the training home of the Dallas Cowboys.
