Gmail account owners can now change existing @gmail.com address while maintaining your data and services.
After the change, the old email addresses will remain active and users will continue to receive emails sent to both the old and new addresses.

Google only allows accounts that end with @.gmail.com To make changes, the new address must also end with @gmail.com.
While users can reuse their old Google account email address at any time, once changed, they will not be able to register a different email address for the same account for the next 12 months.
Users interested in changing their email address to the new system must confirm that it has been implemented for their account.
In their Gmail account, users can click on 'Manage Google Account'. In the Personal Information section, they can click on their Gmail account email address. If this option is available in their region, they can proceed by clicking the “Change your Google Account email address” button.
