A Garmin Venu 4 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 will probably make our The best watch Garmin And The best apple watches Lists, respectively, when we introduce the last crop of 2025 and go in 2026.
Just getting attached to Garmin Venu 4 during a letter, this will already become an amazing clock. Its model of 45 mm is easy for its size, it is bright, and I look forward to checking it within the next 10 days.
As part of my review process, I check the accuracy of its heart rate against the standard sectoral monitor of the Bluetooth H10 heart rhythm, as well as the use of a very accurate Apple Watch Ultra 3 as a “control” hour during the experiment.
Polar H10 was estimated The best heart rate monitor For accuracy from us and many, many others. By the general opinion, this is the best set that is used by many professional athletes. When I put on a belt, it interacts with the Polar Flow application via Bluetooth, translating the living indications of the heart rhythm on my phone.
I use the Polar H10 to check the accuracy of the Garmin and Apple heart rhythm during my 7 -kilometer lunch. Below in the gallery of screenshots you can see how each application recorded my launch, given the pause for all three applications about 10 minutes after training. Unlike the picture above, on which I wear both hours on the same handI actually wear a clock on each wrist to better record HR.
Training: Results
It is amazing that Garmin Venu 4 was not very accurate at first. When I checked both hours between 1 km and 2 km, I was surprised to see that I was getting completely different indications: Apple said that the heart rate was in the 140s, while Garmin Venu 4 said that I was in the 120s. You can see the fall in the graphs below. I continued a little, then suspended both hours while I checked the Polar Flow application.
Of course, Apple had the right to this and was much closer than Garmin. I knew that Apple Watch was accurate thanks to my previous bicycle testBut I was surprised that Venu 4, equipped with the top line Garmin Elevate V5 Destinor, was so far. I restarted all three applications and continued. I did not remove, did not regulate and did not restart my Garmin watch.
After the pause and the ignorant, Garmin Venu 4 was much more accurate, which was much closer to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 for the rest of the run. You can compare the graphs and see that when I resumed training, my heart rate on Garmin Connect is recorded as higher.
By the time I finished, my average BPM, in accordance with Garmin, was 151 plow, not far from 156 pm registered Apple and Polar.
I usually did not sniff out the difference of 5 beats per minute, given this completely beautiful and quite accurate for most runners, but this original bay was interesting. I will conduct additional accuracy tests, and if I notice some more radical differences, I will turn to Garmin for clarification.
At the same time, for 7 km, I would say that for the most part Venu 4 was very accurate and would be even more accurate if I continued to run for a longer distance to make up for this initial outbreak. Stay with us for our review Garmin Venu 4.
