Hello and welcome to the 19th Annual VGChartz Game of the Year Awards!
The final voting stage has now ended. The lists of nominees have been narrowed down significantly through early community voting, and now you have the chance to help determine both the final list of games that will be included in each awards article and the winners themselves.
Here's a link to our final voting form. As always, you need a Google account to participate:

Frequently Asked Questions
question – When will the voting end?
A – Final voting ends on January 2, 2026.
question – Can I change my vote/edit the voting form after it has been submitted?
A – Yes, you can edit your voting form until we complete voting.
question – Do I need to select a game for each reward?
A – Nope. Select your favorite category from any number of categories.
question – Why can’t I vote for game XXXXXXX?
A – Unfortunately, it did not pass during the preliminary voting!
question – I would like to see an award for the best XXXXXX, it’s a shame you don’t do one.
A – Let us know in the comments; We are always open to suggestions, especially for new or replacement categories.
question – How is the winner determined in each category?
A – Joint vote of the community and staff, weight 50/50. On the community side, we use the Google form linked above, and on the staff side, we vote individually in the staff forums. Staff scores are converted into percentages for each game in each category. These percentages are combined with the percentages from the community results, and then the total is divided by two to get the average. This average determines both the final list of games that will be included in each award article and the winners themselves.
question – When and how will the winners be announced?
A – The winners will be announced in a series of articles that we will begin publishing in mid-January.
question – What's wrong? Astro Bot banner? This was a 2024 game.
A – Astro Bot was last year's winner in the Game of the Year category. We're giving it one last moment in the spotlight before unveiling the best games of 2025.
