Stardew Valley Brings Its Cozy Farming Experience on Switch 2

Your farming life awaits you in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available on Nintendo eShop for $14.99. Players who already own the original Switch version can upgrade to the new version with a free upgrade pack, making the transition seamless for returning farmers.

Originally released on PC via Steam in February 2016. Stardew Valley gradually expanded across all platforms, arriving on Linux and Mac later that year, followed by PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, and finally mobile devices on iOS and Android. The PC version is also available on GOG and Humble Store. Over the years, the game has grown into a popular life simulation game known for its depth, charm, and flexibility.

In Stardew Valley, players will inherit their grandfather's abandoned farm and start a new life in a quiet rural town. Starting with basic tools and limited funds, players clear land, grow crops, raise animals, and gradually rebuild the farm and their place in society. The arrival of the Joja Corporation led to the decline of the city's traditions, and the community center fell into disrepair. Through continued effort and thoughtful choices, players can help restore the valley and shape its future.

Multiplayer expands the gaming experience by allowing up to seven additional players to join the game. Friends can cooperate in farming, share resources and build relationships, and the adjustable rate of return adds an extra layer of complexity.

Nintendo Switch 2 Edition introduces enhanced features such as intuitive mouse controls for easier inventory management, local split-screen co-op for up to four players, online multiplayer for up to eight players, and Game Share support, which allows friends to join with just one copy of the game.
