N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos survived betrayal and the sting of the tabloids. Tulisa was born into a musical family in Camden, London, and says music was a part of her everyday life. But her childhood was affected by her mother's severe mental health episodes, which often resulted in her being institutionalized in psychiatric institutions. After her parents' divorce, Tulisa often had to take care of her mother alone. Tulisa became interested in music, and although she was initially determined to become a solo star, she achieved huge success in the British group N-Dubz, formed with a cousin and friend when she was a teenager. At the age of 22, she became the youngest judge on British talent show The X Factor, but her biggest challenge was learning to survive in the spotlight. At the height of her fame, her ex-boyfriend posted an intimate video of her online without her consent, and Tulisa had to go to court to have it removed from websites. In 2013, she was also the subject of an elaborate undercover newspaper article that resulted in her facing jail for drug dealing before her trial failed and she was acquitted. The experience nearly derailed her career and life. Tulisa's latest book is called Judgment. Presenter: Mobeen Azhar. Producers: Tommy Dixon and Rebecca Vincent. This interview mentions suicide.
