Fantasy Football Start/Sit: Trevor Lawrence is Start of the Week

It's championship week in most fantasy leagues, and I'm happy for all of you who have made it this far. All your hard work from the project until now has paid off. Now it's time to finish the job.

I'm sure some of you are dealing with near-perfect lineups, which is why you're fighting for the title in Week 17. But some of you are still suffering from injuries or questionable matches, and we're here to help.

There are a lot of moving parts this week, especially with injuries to quarterbacks Lamar Jackson (back) and Jordan Love (concussion) and Marcus Mariota (arm) and JJ McCarthy (arm) already ruled out. At running back, we are awaiting the status of TreVeyon Henderson (concussion), and Quinshawn Judkins (ankle) was lost to the season in Week 16.

DK Metcalf (suspended) was out in Week 17 and Rashie Rice (concussion) was placed on injured reserve. We also don't expect Davante Adams (hamstring) to play in Week 17 and will see how guys like Rome Odunze (foot), Luther Burden III (ankle), Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Kayshawn Boutte (concussion) and others fare.

We finally got some bad news: Brock Bowers (knee) was placed on injured reserve and George Kittle (ankle) could be out in Week 17. It's not ideal to be without these two stars at this crucial moment.

But we cannot hide from trauma. We cannot run away from potential problems. This is the week we must win no matter what.

Hopefully, if you need replacement players, they will provide you with good results. And we hope that when Monday night is over, you'll be celebrating your championship.

Good luck. And happy holiday. We hope it's a great time of year for you all and you score a big win in week 17.

Patriots (in New York)

Brady Cook has been sacked 17 times in three games since he took over for Tyrod Taylor in Week 14, and the Jets have scored 36 points in that span. Cook also has six interceptions and the DST Patriots should dominate this game. I like the Patriots DST as a top-five fantasy option across all leagues.

Accounts (vs. PHI)

The Bills' defense performed well in Week 16 at Cleveland, with three sacks, two interceptions and just 20 points allowed, but the Week 17 matchup against Philadelphia will be much tougher. Jalen Hurts has been sacked just six times in his last seven games, and the Eagles have only had four games all season with multiple turnovers. Philadelphia has also scored 60 points in its last two games against the Raiders and Commanders, and most leagues don't want to start the Bills DST in Week 17.
