Destiny: Rising Just Released Its Season 3 Act 1 Major Content Update

Destiny: Rising is coming with a wave of new content

NetEase Games has released Destiny Rising Season 3 Act 1, a significant new update for its licensed cross-platform sci-fi RPG shooter set in the Destiny universe. The update, which will release during the holiday season, will introduce new missions, the return of a fan-favorite raid, and limited-time events that reward players with free characters. Together, these additions are designed to deepen progression and expand cooperative and strategic play.

One of the highlights is the return of the classics. Destiny 2 the “Crota's End” raid, which arrives on January 3rd. Players once again descend on the Moon to confront Crota, the Hive's first god-level enemy and the son of Oryx, the Taken King. This challenging encounter recreates the intense atmosphere of the original raid, adapting it for Destiny Rising systems. Players who complete Crota will receive an exclusive completion reward tied to the event.

Act 1 of Season 3 also introduces a brand new Tower Defense mode called Bulwark Ops, which launches on December 30th. After completing certain objectives, players can unlock single player or three-player co-op missions. Matches feature up to 30 waves of enemies, combining traditional shooting mechanics with strategic tower placement. For defeating enemies, players earn points that they can spend on defensive structures, and additional towers are unlocked between stages, increasing their overall combat power. Each battlefield presents a different environment, challenging players to adjust their strategies and tower selections.

To celebrate the new season, Destiny Rising is also giving players a guaranteed free unlock for Kabra, the Resolute. This powerful Mythic Arc character becomes available after completing certain operational actions.

In the first act of Season 3, Destiny Rising continues to combine iconic Destiny content with new gameplay ideas, offering a richer and more varied experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
