Matt Rogers Makes ‘Palm Royale’ Debut in New Clip: Watch

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Palm Royale season two.

Matt Rogers has officially made it to Palm Royal.

Like the second season of an Apple TV show continues to surprise fans With even more twists and turns, TODAY.com brings you a first look at the actor and comedian who made his debut in “The Palm.”

Rogers portrays Bruce in the upcoming seventh episode, which will air on Christmas Eve. While not much is known about his character, a sneak peek reveals that he's already become friends with Kristen Wiig's quirky character Maxine.

The clip begins with the two of them sitting in a convertible, watching who is arriving for a funeral being held at a country club.

“Look who just zipped up his Vespa,” Rogers says to Bruce, zooming in on the image. Ricky Martin character Robert. He is then distracted by another man, whom he calls his “rock”.

“And he’s with Reagan,” Bruce adds, and Maxine asks, “The Governor of California?”

“No, his wife. She's Rock's best Judy,” Bruce quips.

When Maxine says she thinks the woman's name is Nancy, Bruce tells her, “You have a lot to learn.”

When Maxine notices the coffin being carried out of the hearse, she says she needs to “say goodbye” to her twin sister Mirabelle.

Bruce tells her she'll never walk through the front door, but Maxine tells him, “If there's one thing I know how to do, it's sneak into the Palm Royale.”

As viewers saw in the previous episode, Maxine discovered that she had a long-lost twin named Mirabelle, who suddenly appeared at the Delacorte residence. While Maxine was delighted to have a sister, Mirabelle turned out to be a fraud and even slept with Douglas (Josh Lucas), who thought she was Maxine.

Things got even more interesting when Norma (Carol Burnett) told Robert that she wanted to take Maxine away. Episode six ended with Mirabelle's death after someone shot her. But who killed her and did they think it was Maxine?

Fans will be able to learn more about who is behind the murder, as well as get to know Rogers' character.

Back in October, during joint management TODAY with Jenna and friendsRogers touched on his upcoming cameo and his stylish, bushy mustache.

“It was me in the hot tub with a mustache,” he said, and Jenna Bush Hager said she didn't recognize him at first. “I’m kind of the king of the motel.”

As photos of him in the suit appeared on screen, Rodgers added, “The hair, makeup and costume team at Palm Royale matched this car to my shirt. I've never experienced anything like this… There's me and Kristen… She's a dream and we have so much fun together.”

“The cast is really brilliant,” he continued, adding that this season was even better than the previous one. “I'm going to give you a little Christmas present: my mustache.”

Episode 7 of Season 2, “Maxine Plays Dead,” premieres Wednesday, December 24 on Apple TV.
