THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios have opened pre-orders for REANIMAL on Nintendo Switch 2, expanding access to the upcoming co-op horror title ahead of its global release. The game will be released worldwide on Friday, February 13, 2026, and will appear simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Pre-orders go on sale November 20, 2025 for PC and current generation consoles. Players who pre-order the digital edition will receive Foxhead and Muttonhead masks. These are themed cosmetic items that reflect the unsettling tone and creepy world of the game. These masks serve as symbolic protection in an environment of fear, isolation and uncertainty.
REANIMAL reached a major milestone earlier this month when it officially went gold on December 16, 2025. This confirmation signals that development is complete and the project is firmly approaching its February release date.
Built around co-op play, REANIMAL follows a brother and sister as they travel across a twisted island in search of their missing friends. The game combines stealth gameplay, environmental puzzles, and cinematic platforming. This creates a slow-burn horror journey filled with tension and atmosphere. Each location heightens the sense of vulnerability as players navigate shadow-filled spaces and encounter the disturbing remnants of a destroyed world.
Players can already try out the game in a demo available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The demo begins at the beginning of the story and focuses on the reunion of orphaned siblings and their decision to face the horrors to come together. It features locations such as the Mill and the Railway Yard. And all the while offering the first clues to the mystery that shapes REANIMAL's gripping narrative.
