Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey trailer is now available online

Christopher Nolan Odyssey is the mythical action epic we've been eagerly awaiting since its announcement. This is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films to release in 2026. And as a little pre-Christmas treat, the trailer is finally out, even if it was delayed by YouTube's terrible compression – perhaps an indication of why Nolan kept Odyssey The trailer is still exclusive to theaters.

First glance shows Matt Damon (Jason Bourne) like Odysseus, Tom Holland (unknown) as Telemachus and Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables) as Penelope, who asks her husband to promise that he will come back to her, only for him to look at her and ask what will happen if he can't. The trailer also showed a very brief, ghostly look at Polyphemus, the Cyclops whose sheep Odysseus and his men steal after running out of food on their way home.

Adapted from one of the founding texts of Western literature. Odyssey follows the legendary king of Ithaca, Odysseus. After defeating his enemies during the Trojan War, depicted in IliadHomer's epic poem follows a king on his long and dangerous journey home. Along the way, Odysseus encounters several obstacles and mythical creatures, such as the cyclops Polyphemus, Circe, the witch goddess who turns men into pigs, and the deceptive sirens. Despite these troubles, Odysseus vows that he will do everything to return home to Ithaca to see his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.

In addition to Damon, Holland and Hathaway, the film adaptation features a stellar cast. Charlize Theron (The Old Guard 2) as the cunning Circe Zendaya (Euphoria), Lupita Nyong'o (A Quiet Place: Day One), Robert Pattinson (Batman), Elliot Page (Umbrella Academy) and Jon Bernthal (Punisher).

Odyssey has already been adapted several times based on modern retellings, such as Uberto Pasolini's 2024 film, Returnto the ballet by Jean-Claude Gallota in 1999, Ulysses. Odyssey was even adapted into a musical by Jorge Rivera-Herranza called Epic: The Musicalwhich is divided into a nine-part album series.

Official trailer for Odyssey long awaited since the release of the film official disclosure and a 70 second teaser starring Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal, which was only shown in theaters ahead of the Universal film's release Rebirth of Jurassic World. Subsequently this leaked to the network soon after that.

To see better and more clearly Odysseythe trailer uploaded on the official account of the X movie might fit the bill.
