- Galaxy S26 series could be announced in February
- Maybe then we can buy phones in March.
- There have been repeated rumors about a delay in the launch.
In the protracted saga of “when will Samsung In fact launch Galaxy S26 row?' – and now it appears the phones won't be available for purchase for some time after their grand unveiling.
According to a veteran whistleblower @UniverseIceThe Galaxy S26 phones will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February and will go on sale in March. No further details have been revealed, so the gap between the launch announcement and the on-sale date could be as little as one day – or as long as 28 days.
That's later this year than the Galaxy S25 lineup, which debuted in January 2025, but we were expecting delay with 2026 phones. It is believed that one of the reasons for the wait is that Samsung canceled the release of the Galaxy S26 Edge model and decided to restore the Galaxy S26+ model.
Eat there was also a conversation about some internal debate within Samsung about what naming scheme to use for these phones, with occasional mention of the Pro model. However, it now appears that the names will be the same as this year.
Coming soon
What I want to say is that the Galaxy S26 series will be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February and will go on sale in March. The long wait has begun.😃December 21, 2025
This isn't the first time we've heard that the Galaxy S26 launch date and availability date are out of sync, but previous rumor suggested a January announcement ahead of February shipping, so it looks like Samsung's schedule has shifted since then.
Samsung is usually very good at making its phones available immediately upon or shortly after they are announced. For example, with Samsung Galaxy Z Foldable 7A couple of weeks passed between the announcement of the foldable phone and its appearance on sale (with open pre-orders in between).
It looks like the wait will be longer, perhaps reflecting the rather chaotic year Samsung seems to have had when it comes to putting together its product lineup and deciding whether to release a successor Samsung Galaxy S25 Edgewhich (like iPhone Air), did not seem to be very popular.
As usual when it comes to the Galaxy S26 series, most of the major updates will be exclusive to the Ultra model: perhaps we'll see increasing battery charge And camera bumpplus the standard increase in productivity compared to the previous year.
