The Buffalo Bills endured a ton of heartbreak in the playoffs at the hands of the Chiefs and the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes over the years, but KC is set to miss the postseason for the first time since 2014… Andre Reed excited about his former team's chances.
We caught up with Reed, who was helping hand out bikes at Raising Cane's event earlier this week, and while he was upset to see Mahomes go down with a torn ACL… he knows what it means for the Bills.
“The last two weeks, man, they came back from 21 last week,” Reed said. “When you have No. 17 with an S on your chest, man, you have a chance. And could this be the year they pull out all the stops to try to play in the Super Bowl this year? Obviously, I think so.”
But while Reid knows the AFC is wide open, he recognizes that if they do, Buffalo will face stiff competition from the NFC.
It's not just good news on the field for Buffalo. Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, announced last week that their family will soon be expanding, and the couple is preparing for… welcoming our first child together.
Reed, who was on every AFC championship team that failed to win the Big One in the '90s, had only good things to say about the soon-to-be father.
“Not only are they a great couple, but they do a lot of good things in the community,” Reed said. “Besides, you know, Josh is just that kind of guy. And when you met his parents a couple of years ago, you just knew that this guy was not only a great football player, but also a good public figure.”
