The Game Awards 2025 achieves estimated 171m global livestreams

This year's Game Awards broke viewership records, attracting an estimated 171 million live streams worldwide during its full broadcast last week.

The ceremony's audience grew by 11%. compared to last year's eventduring which the number of live broadcasts worldwide grew by 31% to 154 million.

Data for the full broadcast is aggregated from YouTube, Twitch, Steam, TikTok Live, X, Kick, Facebook and Instagram Live, as well as global audiences in China across a number of networks and JioHotstar in India.

This amount does not include the number of viewers of Prime Video, partnerships. TGA announced back in November.

The peak number of concurrent viewers on Twitch, YouTube and other Western platforms reached 4.4 million, up 9% from last year.

On YouTube in particular, the official TGA channel peaked at 1.4 million viewers, up 8% on last year.

Combined with co-streaming on the platform, which reached a record high of more than 8,600 channels, TGA's audience grew 9% to a peak of 2.4 million concurrent viewers.

The Game Awards 2025 ceremony took place on December 11, organized by Sandfall Interactive. Claire Obscurus: Expedition 33 dominates the night.

Turn-based RPG wins nine 12 awards for which he was nominatedincluding Game of the Year, Game Direction, Art Direction, Soundtrack and Music. Jennifer English also won Best Actress for her role as Mael.

There were, of course, Lots of game discoveries during the eventincluding Larian Studio's Divinity, Remedy Entertainment's Control: Resonant and the return of Crystal Dynamics' Lara Croft and Flying Wild Hog.
