2025-26 College football The playoff bracket has already been set, and after a short wait following the conclusion of Conference Championship Weekend, it's time for this year's festivities to begin as teams have a clear plan of action on their path to the National Championship. The 2025 college football season has been filled with drama and intense races for the conference title, but now it's time to find out who truly is the best in the country.

Indiana enters this year's playoffs as the No. 1 seed after beating Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. However, despite the loss, the Buckeyes didn't move far from the first place they previously held as Ryan Day's team finished in second place. SEC Champion. Georgia enters as the third seed and Big 12 champion Texas Tech closes the top of the field and takes fourth place. All of these teams earned a first-round bye, but we'll have some interesting matchups in the first round.

The playoffs opened Friday with Alabama's comeback win over Oklahoma. There are three more first-round games scheduled for Saturday before the playoffs head to the quarterfinals in some of college football's most iconic stadiums. The winners of the quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals on January 8 and 9, and the College Football Playoff National Championship will take place on Monday, January 20 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
