Alabama Crimson Tide advanced to the College Football Playoff with a comeback win over Oklahoma in the first round on Friday night.

Oklahoma popped up with a 17-0 halftime lead before the Crimson Tide slowly came back, scoring 10 unanswered points and then tying the game on Zavien Brown's 50-yard interception return before the half.

Alabama then scored the first 10 points of the second half to go up 27–17. But Oklahoma isn't done fighting yet. Sooners quarterback John Mateer cut the deficit to four with a 37-yard pass to Deion Burks.

Alabama's Zabien Brown (2) intercepts a pass intended for Oklahoma's Keontez Lewis (9) during the College Football Playoff game between the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) and the Alabama Crimson Tide at Gaylord Family Stadium.

But Alabama kept it from getting any stronger, extending its lead to 10 with a touchdown in the final 10 minutes. The move was highlighted by a circus move from Jermy Bernard that gave Daniel Hill a short score and they won 34-24.

The Alabama victory ensured that one of the program's best streaks continued, as no team had beaten the Crimson Tide twice in the same season since 1893.
