The vulnerability is known to have affected four major PC motherboard manufacturers: ASRock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI. All four have released updates for at least some of their new motherboards, while other boards will have updates coming later. According to Vulnerability NoteIt is unclear whether systems from OEMs such as Dell, Lenovo, Acer or HP are affected.
ASRock Security Bulletin the problem is said to affect Intel motherboards based on the 500, 600, 700 and 800 series chipsets; MSI Only 600 and 700 series chipsets are listed. Asus the 800 series is also missing, but it is said that the vulnerability affects boards based on even older Intel 400 series chipsets; GigabyteMeanwhile, it covers Intel 600 to 800 series chipsets, but is also the only vendor that mentions patches for AMD 600 and 800 series chipsets (in short, any motherboard with socket AM5).
Collectively, these chipsets cover 10th generation Intel Core processors and later, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 series and later.
What is unclear is that boards and chipsets that are not mentioned by every vendor do not receive the fix because they are not need patch if they get fixed but are simply not mentioned, or if they don't get a patch at all. The bulletins at least suggest Intel 400 and 500 series chipsets and AMD 600 and 800 series chipsets could are affected, but not all vendors have promised fixes for them.
