The Cincinnati Bengals hosted three CFL players for practice on Friday, according to NFL transaction protocol.
Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Donte Meyer, Hamilton Tiger-Cats linebacker Devin Veresuk and Toronto Argonauts cornerback Derek Slivka were in attendance. 3DownNation first reported about Slivka's training on Monday.
In 2025, Meyers had a breakout season with the Riders, recording 65 catches for 1,056 yards and eight touchdowns to make the All-West Division team. The 25-year-old first joined Saskatchewan in 2024 when he caught 24 passes for 349 yards and one score.
The five-foot-ten, 190-pound target finished his collegiate career at Delta State University, a Division II program located in Cleveland, Mississippi. In his senior season, he was named first team All-Conference after hauling in 65 receptions for 877 yards and eight touchdowns.

Veresyuk was the second overall pick in the 2025 CFL Draft and played 15 regular-season games at middle linebacker in his first year for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He recorded 66 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two sacks, two touchdowns, one forced fumble and one interception. The Windsor, Ontario native was named the Eastern Division's Most Outstanding Rookie.
The 24-year-old football player played for the University of Windsor team. In total, he recorded 160 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, nine sacks, five pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and one interception, returning for a touchdown with the Lancers, and was named an OUA All-Star in 2024.
This was Veresyuk's sixth NFL practice since visiting the stadium. New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, Denver BroncosAnd Indianapolis Colts.
Slivka recorded 46 defensive tackles, six special teams tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, one defensive touchdown and one field goal return touchdown over 15 regular-season games in 2025. He was nominated by Toronto for Most Outstanding Newcomer.
The six-foot-three, 215-pound defensive back played collegiately at Ithaca College, where he made 119 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, 30 pass knockdowns, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and four blocked kicks.
Slivka attended training camp with the Indianapolis Colts in 2024, although he was converted to wide receiver. He caught three passes for 27 yards in the preseason, but was released before the start of the regular season. He worked for the Colts again earlier this week.
NFL Practice Window opened on Monday, November 17th.. The window to sign with an NFL team opens January 5, 2026 and ends February 10, 2026 at 12:01 pm EST.
NFL teams must request permission from CFL franchises to train players, and that request cannot be denied. CFL players can opt out of their agreements north of the border if an NFL team offers a contract, although their CFL team retains its rights for the duration of the existing contract.
Meyers is slated to become a CFL free agent on Feb. 10, while Veresyuk and Slivka are under contract through 2026.
The Bengals are already eliminated from the playoffs and sit third in the AFC North standings with a 4-10 record. They will visit the Miami Dolphins (6-8) on Sunday, December 21st at 1:00 pm EST.
