Google announced that it is expanding the Gemini 3 model with the release of Gemini 3 Flash.
According to Google, Gemini 3 Flash offers professional level 3 reasoning, but with latency, efficiency and cost similar to Gemini Flash. It is capable of performing everyday tasks with improved thinking, but also offers the most impressive model for agency workflows. Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI systems that can set goals and take actions with minimal human supervision—think Tony Stark's Jarvis.
The Gemini 3 beats the Gemini 2.5 Pro in a number of tests and even has an MMMU Pro score comparable to the Gemini 3 Pro.
And, of course, Gemini 3 Flash is very effective. Google says Gemini 3 Flash can modulate the speed of thinking while doing a lot of processing, allowing it to use 30 percent fewer tokens on average compared to 2.5 Pro.
Gemini 3 Flash is being distributed worldwide and is now the default model in the Gemini app, replacing 2.5 Flash. Gemini users will be able to access 3 Flash for free.
Gemini 3 Flash has multimodal reasoning capabilities, such as making it easier to understand videos and images faster and turn that content into actionable plans in seconds. Gemini 3 Flash is also starting to be used as the default model for AI mode in search, with access to everyone.
