I love Disney cruises for many reasons, but one of them is that I spend 40 hours a week writing quizzes (mostly Disney quizzes), and Disney cruises are the only place where I can play Disney trivia games competitively.
But here's the thing: everyone on a Disney cruise is also a Disney person, which means if you don't have money, you have no hope of winning. Made a mistake? Forget it. Someone got it right and your hope of a small character medal is gone. It's equal parts frustrating and humiliating.
Anyway, I recently sailed on Disney's newest ship, Destiny of Disney. After three years of cruises and COUNTLESS rounds of trivia, I finally won the Disney movie quiz (along with my sister, who will probably see this and get mad if I don't mention her valiant efforts). We answered all 20 questions correctly and were the only ones to do so, meaning if we weren't perfect, we wouldn't have received a medal. These were 20 questions*.
But here's the thing: this quiz is “Disney Cruise Line Rules.” You have to answer all 20 questions before I tell you how many of them you got right, just like in the ship quiz, so you have plenty of time to second guess yourself, which is what I did and it cost me a medal in the Disney Parks quiz (but I’m not sad at all and I never think about it). Ready?
