PPG announced that Adriana Makuze, vice president of PPG Latin America and general manager of protective and marine coatings (PMC) for Latin America, will retire effective April 30, 2026.
Jennifer Solch, currently vice president of PMC US and Canada, will become vice president of PMC Americas, overseeing the US, Canada and Latin America effective that day.
Solch joined PPG in 2018 as global segment director for wheel coatings and in 2020 was named general manager of auto parts for the Americas.
She currently leads PMC's U.S. and Canada business and will continue to report to Amy Erickson, senior vice president of PMC.
Macuse joined PPG in 1984 as a paint developer in Mexico and has held leadership positions in Mexico, Argentina and Latin America.
In 2016, she was named vice president and general manager of PMC Latin America, leading PPG's Latin America operations, excluding PPG Comex, and had direct responsibility for PMC's business in the region.
PPG Chairman and CEO Tim Knavish stated, “On behalf of PPG management, we congratulate Adriana on her distinguished 40-year career at PPG and thank her for her many contributions.”
Javier Sosa Mejía, vice president of architectural coatings Latin America and president of PPG Comex, will expand his responsibilities to become president of PPG Latin America, effective January 1, 2026.
He will continue to report to Henrik Bergström, Senior Vice President, Global Architectural Coatings.
Sosa joined PPG in November 2014 following the acquisition of Comex and has held a number of leadership positions, including director of B2B marketing and chief commercial officer.
He currently oversees architectural coatings operations in Mexico, Central America and Brazil.
Knavish added: “We also want to congratulate Jennifer and Javier on the expansion of their roles and responsibilities. Their continued strong leadership will be key as we remain focused on growing our business and serving our clients throughout Latin America, as well as within the PMC business throughout the Americas.”
In November 2025, PPG launched Sigma EcoCollect in partnership with waste logistics provider FIRE-OFF and packaging manufacturer Dijkstra Plastics.
Sigma EcoCollect is packaging recycling nationwide initiative in the Netherlands by the PPG Sigma Coatings brand.
