Frankly, the Chiefs have been content with mediocre running back play for far too long, perhaps in part because they were burned out by trying to make a bigger investment at the position in Edwards-Helaire, who ultimately proved to be a replacement-level quarterback.”

The Chiefs apparently tried to acquire Hall at the trade deadline, so perhaps he will be at the top of their offseason wish list.
But whoever it is, there's a running back that Kansas City needs to land. The Chiefs need to help Mahomes get up, not force him to put the entire lineup on his back, and the only place help should come from is at running back.
