Explore a dungeon in Cave Crave VR
Cave Thirst VR launches today on SteamVR, offering PC VR players an action-packed underground adventure for 25% off. Offer available for the first 14 days until 26 December 19:00 CEST. Previously released on Meta Quest and PSVR2, where it sold over 75,000 copies, Cave Crave VR now debuts on SteamVR with notable visual and atmospheric enhancements.
Located deep below the surface, Cave Crave VR places players in pitch-black tunnels, narrow passages and huge underground chambers. On PC VR, these environments are enhanced with improved lighting, dynamic water reflections, crisper textures, and a denser, more immersive atmosphere that enhances the sense of isolation and scale.
At launch, the game includes three different modes. Story mode offers a story-driven expedition with free exploration options. Tourist Mode provides guided cave tours for a more relaxing and accessible experience. The horror mode relies on claustrophobia, darkness and hidden creatures to highlight tension and survival. The developers plan to bring all previously released free Meta Quest updates, including Arcade Mode, to SteamVR early next year.
One of the features of the SteamVR version is a detailed virtual reality recreation of the Nutty Putty Cave. Using official maps and data from rescuer Brandon Covallis, the team recreates a sealed cave in Utah from 2009, with an emphasis on realism. Players traverse the cave by walking, crawling, crouching and climbing, while voice notes tell its true story.
Cave Crave VR promises a mind-body experience that rewards awareness and control. So, go ahead and dive into it now!
