Scott Jennings Smashes Race-Baiting Democrat’s Argument Into Pieces

Salem Radio Network host Scott Jennings criticized Democratic strategist Ameshia Cross on Thursday when she said Republicans were trying to suppress black voters.

Indiana State Senate voted against congressional map that would eliminate two Democratic-leaning seats in the United States House of Representatives on Thursday, despite calls from President Donald Trump and Republican Gov. Mike Brown of Indiana. Cross told “The Source” host Caitlan Collins that efforts to suppress voices went on for decades before Jennings fired back. “I was born black. I'll be black my whole life. I don't want to hear anyone say that the Republican Party isn't doing everything it can to keep people who look like me away from the ballot box, because that's painfully untrue. That's what's been charged in the courts time after time, decade after decade, especially in the South, the South, where the largest concentration of black people live,” Cross said, with Jennings interjecting, asking, “Where? How? Where?” and how? Where?

Cross then cited Georgia, which did not redistrict, and Texas, where the Supreme Court acceptable Texas will use maps passed by Texas Democrats in the House of Representatives ran away to Democratic-controlled states such as New York and Illinois to prevent redistricting this could give Republicans several seats in the United States House of Representatives.

“The destruction of the Voting Rights Act was carried out by the Republican Party as a whole. In Donald Trump, we see a man who wants and continues to try to expand his power in the most illegal ways possible,” Cross said. “So yes, those orders have been challenged. And those orders have been challenged in Venezuela because, quite frankly, there was no incentive to go there to begin with. What we know is that it was likely illegal in the first place, which is why he's trying to suppress the video.”

“Okay. So, a couple of things: first, did anyone personally try to stop you from voting? The answer is no. Second, there are no illegal orders,” Jennings replied. “Number three, in this country – number three, in this country, I hate – I hate to remind you of our history, but it was the Democratic Party that tried and tried and tried to suppress the black vote in this country, not the Republican Party.”

New York redrawn his congressional districts after the 2022 midterm elections, creating a map that threatened six of the 11 Republicans elected to the House that year. (RELATED: CNN panelist faces harsh fact-checking after playing race card over redistricting)

“I think you need to reread your civil rights history. The Democratic Party doesn't have a clear track record on this issue,” Jennings said. “But the bottom line is that Democrats will continue to be ruthless. They will continue to attempt gerrymandering. They will continue to try to claim that the president is giving illegal orders to ruin our military. Who knows what they will do in Washington from now on.”

“But the bottom line is that Republicans did not do this redistricting tonight,” Jennings continued. “Democrats will continue to do this. And if you're looking for the party's most ruthless players? It's the Democratic Party.”
