Diablo 4 Season 11 is now available on all platforms, and the new Consecration system completely changes the crafting system we're used to.
When you consecrate equipment, you have a chance to unlock its original potential. However, any changes you make will be permanent, so you'll have to make a careful decision. This guide explains the entire process so you can bless your gear properly.
How does consecration work in Diablo 4?
Introduced as part of the Season 11 content, Consecration acts as a one-time add-on that adds bonus stats to your gear. Equipment you consecrate will become immutable and you will not be able to make any changes to it (other than adding runes and gems). This is what the equipment receives upon consecration.
- Bonus Legendary Power
- Update an existing affix to a larger affix.
- Add an additional affix from the exclusive consecration pool.
- Replace the existing affix with a random consecration affix.
- Add a random amount of bonus quality (5-25).
- On rare occasions, gain a unique or mythic power.
How to Sanctify Equipment in Diablo 4
There are two ways to carry out Certification in Diablo 4.
- Preliminary torment: You will have the opportunity to consecrate equipment at the beginning of the game at the Sky Anvil. To do this, you need to defeat the Lesser Evil in any event/action. This will allow you to use the Celestial Anvil to consecrate equipment. If you refuse this chance, you will have to defeat another Lesser Evil to be able to use the Sky Anvil.
- After suffering: Once you pass this difficulty level, you will be able to consecrate your equipment with Celestial Signs. You can get Sigils by defeating new bosses: Astraroth, Belial and Bartok. Seasonal events can also reward you with these symbols.
When to Bless Equipment in Diablo 4
The ideal time to consecrate equipment is up to you, but you should first complete the following steps: Tempering, Enchanting, and Masterwork. After this, imprint the selected aspect on the mechanism. Only then should you consecrate the equipment to take it to the final level.
