The camera is set across the street from a house that appears to have a construction crew working on it… and the explosion occurs suddenly… debris flying into the air and a huge fireball erupting.
According to New York Times …the explosion appears to have resulted in the complete destruction of one house…as well as a massive fire that engulfed the entire area.
Ryan Nishimoto Alameda County Deputy Fire Marshal told NYT that 75 emergency personnel responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. It is unclear what exactly caused the fire.
The explosion sent six people to hospital… but two are still missing. Emergency Situations Ministry employees searched for the missing person with the help of a dog.
