Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth Demo Arrived on Steam During Day of the Devs

A touching adventure awaits in the film “Moomintroll: Winter Warmth”

A small winter adventure in the world of the Moomins is now very close. During Developer Day: The Game Awards Digital PresentationHyper Games has announced that a short demo of Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is now available on Steam. It offers an early look at a gentle, story-driven experience inspired by the timeless creations of Tove Jansson.

The demo follows Moomintroll as he enters a quiet winter landscape. His walk through the snow leads him to Sorry-u, a lonely little dog who imagines himself to be a wolf. After being pushed away by the pack he admires, Sorry-y is left tired and unwell. Moomintroll decides to help him and begins a slow trek across the frozen desert when an unexpected connection develops between the pair.

Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is scheduled to release next year on PC and consoles. Players who want to explore the world early can try the demo now or request a code for additional access. Hyper Games also shared more details during the Day of the Devs 2025 segment, highlighting how the project builds on their earlier work.

This new game from the team behind Snumkin: Melody of Moominvalley offers a warm, thoughtful journey, set by the gentle atmosphere of Jansson's stories. This is a cozy puzzle-based adventure that brings Moominvalley to life with careful attention to tone and detail. Although it follows in the footsteps of Snufkin: The Melody of Moominvalley, it is not a direct sequel. Both games are standalone, allowing players to enjoy them in any order.

Moomin: The Warmth of Winter invites players to return to a familiar world from a new perspective, combining charm, calm exploration and easy problem-solving in a snowy setting.
