Daniel Elkeles, chief executive of NHS Providers, which represents NHS trusts, said the country was faced with a “very dangerous strain of flu” that arrived earlier than usual this year and Face coverings should be worn on public transportjust like during the Covid pandemic.
He told Times Radio: “When you talk about something like Covid, I think we need to get back to habit: if you're coughing and sneezing but not unwell enough to not go to work, then you should wear a mask when you're in public, including on public transport, to reduce the chance of you passing your virus on to someone else.”
Have you had the flu or cough and cold so far this year? Will you wear a mask on public transport to prevent the spread of a respiratory virus? Have you already done this? What kind of reaction did you get (if any)?
