The Canadiens recall Jacob Fowler, Adam Engström, and Owen Beck

Tonight, The Habs were humiliated in front of their home fans against the Lightning.. The club lost 6-1 and were terrible from start to finish.

No, it's not ideal.

And since the club was now on the road, reminders were to be expected. The club will definitely call at least one forward and one defender into the crowd.

And so Owen Beck and Adam Engström were recalled. But they are not the only ones: Jacob Fowler has also been recalled.

This is big news.

Obviously, Fowler was the biggest surprise. The young goalkeeper, who had turned pro just a few months earlier, was quickly recalled.

And we agree that he probably wasn't called in to warm the bench: in that case, Kaapo Kahkonen would be the lucky one.

So we can truly believe in a world in which Fowler makes his NHL debut this week. And, of course, other questions arise: who, in such a scenario, will become the second goalkeeper in the form of Samuel Montembeault or Jakub Dobes?

We know that Montembeault played tonight, but he has been ill for the last few days: will he be able to come?

Given the club's recent failures, one wonders whether recalling Fowler is a panic decision. In an ideal world, the Habs would have probably preferred to leave Fowler alone in Laval, but here he is, recalled.

Is it a good idea to play him behind such a porous defense? Good question.

But obviously tonight's loss didn't go well, and the Habs are trying to deliver an electric shock. Let's see what happens.

Beck and Engström are interesting choices. We're talking about children who, like Fowler, were probably not called upon to remain on the bench.

If that were the case, Samuel Blais and Marc Del Gaizo would be more logical choices.

So it's logical to wonder how different the lineup will be in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. But the big question is whether Fowler will start.
