Golden Globe 2026 The nominations are official—and it was definitely worth the wait to see which of our favorite movies, shows, and actors were nominated.
Having looked through the entire list of nominations, I was pleasantly surprised by some of the nominations, dumbfounded by the snubs, and was left confused by some. interesting names on the list. This is very difficult to digest, so I will make it easier for you. Here are the highlights, snubs and questionable 2026 nominations. Golden Globe:

Cynthia Erivo did story as the first black woman to be nominated twice in the same category – Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy Evil: For good.

One battle after another leads the nominations race with nine nominations for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

One of the best horror movies 2025, Sinnersreceived 7 nominations and Michael B. Jordan received his first ever Best Actor nomination for the film.

Indie studio Neon was the big winner with 21 nominations, including five of its six international film nominations.

Jacob Elordi scored two nominations as for a limited series (Narrow road to the deep end) and film(Frankenstein).

Marty Supreme received nominations for Best Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Comedy or Music category, but the director and supporting actress nominations for the film were rejected.

Box office nominations include F1, SinnersNetflix's most popular movie this year K-pop Demon Hunterand a movie that hasn't come out yet, Avatar: Fire and Ash— all this has raised questions around this esteemed category.

While people are celebrating Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande's nominations, Evil: For good was neglected for Best Comedy or Musical, one of the nominations that many thought the film should have received.

And finally, the introduction of a new category“Best Podcasts” has made people skeptical about placing podcasts in the same awards program as movies and TV shows.
Yes, many of these nominations were predictable, but some came out of nowhere. Now I'm even more invested in the final results, especially in the box office category, given some of these amazing decisions.
