The Boys final season gets first trailer, April premiere date

Prime Video has confirmed that the fifth and final season Boys The premiere will take place on April 8, 2026.

The date was confirmed at the first trailer for the swan song of the popular superhero serieswhich was unveiled at the CCXP event in Brazil over the weekend.

The teaser trailer certainly has a heavy air of finality to it, with numerous hints that the characters won't survive this time. This season pits Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Annie (Erin Moriarty), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) against Homelander (Anthony Starr) and Vought, who now control the White House.

The trailer teases their dangerous alliance, especially as The Butcher is ready to unleash a virus that kills superheroes. We're also teased with the return of Jensen Ackles' boy soldier and the appearance of Jared Padalecki as a yet-to-be-confirmed character. This is part of a long-term process supernatural a reunion between both of them, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Joe Kessler, who debuted last season) and Boys creator Eric Kripke. Meanwhile, the trailer shows Homelander beating up an unseen character, suggesting one brutal death scene.

Like all other seasons Boysthe latter was filmed in Toronto, so it will be interesting to see what familiar locations pop up this time around. It was also confirmed that General IN, Boys The spin-off, which is filming in Mississauga and other parts of Ontario, will tie into the final season of the main series. Vought-Risinga spin-off starring Soldier Boy Ackles and Stormfront's Aya Cash is also in development.
