Quest in memory of the scientist V Elden Ring NighttrainDLC Abandoned Hollowswill give you more information about who this intelligent Night Traveler is. In addition to their knowledge, you will receive several rewards, such as the Scholar's Chalice relic and the Crystal Tear relic. However, completing the Memory Quest itself can be a very challenging task, as you will have to navigate new areas and defeat some powerful Night Lords along the way.
Here's how to complete the Scientist's Memory quest in Elden Ring Nighttrain's DLC, Abandoned Hollows.
As of this writing, we have completed Chapter 6, but we will update this guide as we progress further.
How to start the Remembrance of the Scholar quest in Elden Ring Nightreign
Before we begin, make sure you have Abandoned Hollows installed and scientist unlocked. This will open the first Scientist chapter in the journal. To unlock chapters 2 and 3, you need to play several races as the Scientist and collect several memory fragments. If you want to get to Chapter 3 as quickly as possible, you'll need to defeat the Night Lord while playing as the Scientist. However, you will eventually unlock it just by playing. Once you return to the Round Table and receive the “Memory Fragment Found” message twice, head to the Journal to begin the memory quest.
Quest in memory of the scientist Chapter 3
After you start the memory quest, examine the book on the table and learn that you need to search the underground room under the swamp. To get there, you will need to start an expedition on one of the two expeditions added using Abandoned Hollows. In our case, we chose balancers.
When loading into the game, open the map and find your personal goal icon. Red Banner. It will appear above a Castle-like icon, but once you arrive it will definitely look a little different. It appears to be a ruined castle, overflowing with status-damaging water. The water condition will depend on the icon you see on the map.
Go inside the building in the center and go through the hole in the wall to your left. The building will be full of enemies that you can defeat or ignore. Walk to the edge and jump down to the ledge below you. but not completely. After you go down, look to the right to see softly lit window. Jump inside and drop down the hole in the floor. In the next room, interact with the glowing object on the table to collect Vassal's Journal. From here you can continue your run as normal as the next step is to return to the Roundhold table. It doesn't matter whether you defeat the Night Lord or not.
After you return, head to the chapel and find the Undertaker… licking the purple goo off the wall. Talk to her and then talk to the Iron Servant after they burst into the room. Analyze the Vassal's diary on the table in the chapel and then talk to the Undertaker again to complete Chapter 3. Once you return from the memory quest, you will receive Scientist's Cup vesselwhich has one red, blue and universal slot.
Quest in memory of the scientist Chapter 5
To unlock Chapter 5, you will need to defeat any Night Lord and obtain the Memory Fragment while playing as the Scientist. Return to the Journal and begin the quest to remember Chapter 5. Go to the Little Bank Bazaar and ask to be shown the Great Hollow, which will immediately teleport you to a new area.
Once inside, you'll encounter lapis lazuli sorcerers, but you can ignore them and head up to the top floor. After going up the second staircase, enter the room directly in front of you and go through the room on the left to end up on the other side of the giant rock hanging from the ceiling. Increase the size of the forged stone and carefully jump onto the rafters to your left. Go to the big hole in the wall and try to interact with the door, only to find that it can't be inspected at the moment, but you hear a loud crash that you'll need to check. Jump down and return to the second floor to find the “Marauder”, who is actually Bogskin Apostle and two knights. Defeat them and return to the unexplored door.
Inside you will find some papers on tables and a knight trapped in a giant crystal. Interact with everything you can to complete Chapter 5 of the Memory Quest. Returning to the Round Table, you will receive Relic “Cleansing Tear”a red relic that will cause your Ultimate Art to deal continuous damage to all enemies hit.
This is as far as we've gone in the Scholar's Memory quest chain for now, but we'll update this guide with the latest information once we've completed it.
