Sable creative director forms new studio Eteo

Shedworks co-founder Gregorios Kythreotis has launched a new studio called Eteo.

The independent studio, based in London, works with a global team of collaborators to create “vibrant game worlds with a decidedly mischievous flavour”.

His debut game is currently in development and is scheduled for release in 2027.

Title supported by Outersloth, Indie game fund created by Among Us developer Innersloth in June last year.

Next January, Eteo will unveil a “collective newsletter project” called Archetypes. Its goal is to “enable authors to explore aspects of video game design, with each article exploring topics relevant to Eteo's design philosophy.”

“Sable was our first really big game, it completely changed my life,” Kythreotis said in an interview. video announcement. “Eteo is kind of the next step in that regard.”

He continued, “Taking everything I learned from studying architecture, from Shedworks, from Sable, and applying it to new creative explorations, projects that are truly personal, but continuing the line of world building, storytelling, and games that really engage people on an emotional level.”

Kythreotis co-founded Shedworks with Daniel Feinberg in 2014 and served as creative director on its debut game Sable.

Released in 2021, the game won Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards.
