Wherever you know her from, I'm here today to talk about when Megan Fahey got the role of Sutton Brady in Bold type. The show debuted in June 2017 and aired for five seasons before ending in June 2021.
Sutton, also known as “Red,” is a small-town girl who started out as an assistant at cult magazine Scarlet. Her hard-working attitude and knack for putting together killer outfits eventually led her to become the magazine's fashion stylist, working closely with Oliver every step of the way.
Sutton *always* kept her girls close, ready to die or ride, no matter what. From her aspirations to work in fashion to her wedding day, Jane (played by Katie Stevens) and Kat (played by Aisha Dee) never missed a beat. Honestly, this trio was the epitome of #friendshipgoals and has remained so all these years.
Additionally, Sutton has had an on-and-off relationship with Richard Hunter (played by Sam Page). They keep everything a secret at first because he works as an in-house lawyer for a publishing company, but eventually it all develops into one of those eternal love stories. Despite the painful blows, they always find their way back to each other. I could cry just thinking about it, in a controlled way.
Megan's performance Bold type was always raw and so interesting. From being a girl to the ups and downs of being in your 20s, the show wouldn't be the same without her. And I think about it all the time.
And bye Bold type While it may not be what most people remember her for, I'm here today to shout from the rooftops that her performance in this iconic 2017 series is DEFINITELY WORTH REMEMBERING!
