Zachary Bolduc: “It’s a privilege to play for Martin St-Louis”

Zachary Bolduc is having a pretty good time strange season. The forward is deadly on the road (11 points in 12 games) … but has just one point in 14 games at the Bell Center.

Usually, when there is such a difference between home and away statistics, it's the other way around.

However, Bolduc's playing time is the talk of the town. This week, for example, he started on the first line… but for Tuesday's game he was left on the bench, and played less than eight minutes last night.

However, the player himself does not seem to be too embarrassed by all this: in an interview with the publication Blue pocket On this evening's broadcast, Bolduc spoke about his relationship with Martin St. Louis… and had great praise for his coach:

It's an honor to play for Martin St. Louis. — Zachary Bolduc

Bolduc insisted that Saint-Louis was a passionate man and an excellent conversationalist. He also praised the fact that the coach has clear expectations from each of his players and wants to bring out the best in each of them.

And the interview was recorded today, so he said this after the events of the week.

Of course, it would be surprising to see Bolduc in public. garbage his coach. However, from his comments, we seem to understand that Bolduc understands what the coach wants… and you would think that he would understand why he gets the short end of the stick from time to time.

First of all, this echoes what Renaud Lavoie reported earlier this evening on JiC: the relationship between Bolduc and his coach is far from damaged.

We'll see if all of that changes if Bolduc continues to play such a limited role. But for now, the forward seems to embrace what St. Louis is trying to bring to the city.

At least that's what he says publicly.
