CANTON, Ohio, December 4th. Anderson [Cincinnati, OH] Predators And Avon [OH] Eagles will meet Thursday night at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium to decide the Ohio State Division II OHSAA high school football championship.

The Raptors enter the game with a perfect 14-0 record, while Avon has compiled a 13-1 mark in defense of its 2024 state championship. The two teams also met in last year's final, with Avon winning 20-13.
Last year, both teams entered the game 15-0, meaning Anderson is 29-1 in his last 30 games, with the only loss coming to Avon. But this time, Avon comes into the game with a loss, and Anderson is the slight favorite according to most national rankings heading into this year's title fight.

It's a deep hole to climb out of, past defenses like Avon's, and you get the feeling it might be out of reach.
