Hooded Horse reveal Substructure, a factory sim from a top Factorio modder in which you excavate the layers of a rogue planet

If you were a senior floor manager on Earth and a strange planet innocently appeared on the outskirts of our solar system, what would you do? I probably wouldn't rush out there and set up a factory on that planet, much like I wouldn't high-five the bear-shaped shadow on the edge of the camp. But I'm not a modder, darling Factorio Ultracube mod, which is now part of game developer Dubious Design.

The latter have just announced the same Factorio-style Substructure, which is published by Hooded Horse. The new Hooded Horse compound tends to draw a certain automatic level of attention to these parts. We're also partial to factory sims. Substructure seals the deal by being something of a horror game. I mean, they don't really call it that, but it seems creepy as balls. The trailer below shows entire segments of the production line being submerged underwater like Atlantis.

It's a factory simulator where you slowly colonize the layers of the aforementioned strange planet, building new production lines at each level. Being players Anoxia station And Dwarf Fortress will know that a strike on the ground leads to a retaliatory strike, but there is there's a lot of cool stuff there that you can use for upgrades. Please do your best to get these items while avoiding items that have teeth.

You can expect both routine smokestacks and industrial farming, making the factory simulator relatively picturesque. The elevators can be programmed, although the press release doesn’t go into detail, and there is a co-op. As you'd expect given the developer's experience, the press release places a lot of emphasis on mod support. “From day one, add new resources, buildings, or simply balance the game as you wish!” this is a trill.

You can read more at Steam. A little more about Dubious Design: they are based in the UK and are a two-person team. “Let the future be uncertain,” the developers say in the announcement materials. I like the energy, but I wish there was at least an Early Access release date in the future.
