More drama in Fat Joe civil case… his accuser's lawyer, Tyrone Blackburnis accused of blaming a legal error on artificial intelligence software.
Here's the thing… Fat Joe's lawyers filed legal papers alleging that Tyrone cited cases in his opening statement that didn't happen, and then Tyrone blamed the errors on LexisNexis' artificial intelligence function.
Well, it looks like Tyrone's justification has reached LexisNexis, and now the company is speaking out and fighting back against Tyrone.
In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Fat Joe's legal team presents a letter from the head of LexisNexis' legal department… and a LexisNexis lawyer says Tyrone was not an authorized user or subscriber of their artificial intelligence products, despite what Tyrone himself claimed.
LexisNexis also states that it does not bear any responsibility for Tyrone's legal errors.
Tyrone told TMZ… “I do not currently have a LexisNexis account. But when I researched this brief, I used LexisNexis.”
He also says he plans to “publish all my research to the registry, as well as my invoice from LexisNexis, which shows they tried to charge me money that I refused to pay.”
