Euphoria Season 3 Plot Details Shared by Sam Levinson

We… worked on this story within four years…and…HBO just…tweeted it. Well, it really was a press conference. Sam Levinson really laid out the setup for Euphoria Season 3 at the HBO Max launch event in London on Wednesday. Rue is in Mexico, Cassie is stuck in the suburbs, and Maddie is at home. I love Los Angeles. Also, can we hear wedding bells? “I will say that Cassie and Nate did get married. I confirm that,” Levinson said, according to Diversity. “And I promise it will be a night to remember.”

Euphoria The third season takes place five years after the events of the second season. “Five years seemed like a natural place to be because if they went to college, they would have already graduated from college,” Levinson said. So this is Saint Elmo's Fire for seasons 1 and 2 Breakfast club. He also gave very specific clues to where they are now for Ryu (Zendaya), Jules (Hunter Shafer), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Nate (Jacob Elord), Maddie (Alexa Demi) and Lexi (Maude Apatow). “We're basically taking Rue south of the border in Mexico who owes Lori and trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay him back,” Levinson said. Jules is studying at an art school, while Lexi and Maddie are studying in Hollywood. “Maddie works as a manager in Hollywood for a talent agency, obviously she has her own side hustle,” he said. And Lexi is the showrunner's assistant, played by Sharon Stone, who is absolutely amazing and a true icon.”

But the big surprise is that Nate and Cassie still exist. Feels unreasonable! “Cassie lives in the suburbs with Nate,” Levinson said. “They're engaged and she's very addicted to social media and jealous of what seems to be the big life all her classmates are living at the moment.” Presumably, at Cassie and Nate's wedding, all of these separate storylines will converge into one big shitty homecoming reunion. Will Lexi be a bridesmaid? Will Maddie? J.K. We'll know when Euphoria will air on HBO in April 2026.
