Rapper POORSTACY’S Cause of Death Revealed, But Family Disputing It

Rapper POOR STATIONHis death in Florida was a suicide… TMZ has learned that some of his family members believe it was something more nefarious.

Multiple sources familiar with the investigation tell us that PURSTACEY shot himself Saturday morning in a Boca Raton hotel room but initially survived. He was taken to a local hospital where he died Monday after life support was turned off.

Police have yet to officially release the cause of death, but we're told the rapper's family doesn't believe it was suicide. One source connected to his family tells TMZ … the family disputes it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound … and suspect foul play.

We're told Purstacey stayed at the hotel for about 10 days after checking in with a woman and a small child. Our source says PORSTACEY was the baby's father and the woman was the mother.

It is unclear whether they were in the hotel room when he shot himself.

We're told police handed the room back to the hotel for a thorough cleaning later on Saturday.
