Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that she changed her name after her wedding to Jake Bongiovi.
The Stranger Things star accidentally shared the news while… joint interview with co-star Noah Schnapp for VT — and even he was surprised that she switched.
During a conversation with the media company, the actors and their close friends were tested for friendship. Schnapp, who Brown recently confirmed is her girl's godfatherasked if he knew Brown's full name.
“This is Millie Bonnie Brown,” he said confidently. But this was the wrong answer. Then he corrected himself and guessed: “Millie Bonnie Brown Bongovie?”
He tried to answer the question several times, but they both started laughing hysterically. “It's so long!” – he said through laughter.
She finally told him and fans that she had officially dropped Bobbi and Brown from her name.
“It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongovi,” she said, revealing her new name.
She then joked that her new nickname was “Millie Bon Bon.”
Actor and Bongiovi, son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, got engaged in April 2023 and tied the knot last year. The rocker confirmed what they said “I do” in an interview on BBC One Show. in May 2024.
“It was a very small family wedding, the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is as happy as can be,” he said at the time.
In August, the couple announced that they had adopted a daughter together.
“We welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption this summer,” they said in the post. joint post on Instagram.
They added: “We're thrilled to begin this beautiful next chapter of parenthood, both in peace and in privacy. And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Brown talked about raising our girlwhich she says brings “endless joy”, in an interview British Vogue published last month. She said the couple intends to keep their daughter out of the public eye.
“It’s very important to me to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to share it herself one day,” she explained. “It's not my place to intentionally and reluctantly put her in the spotlight. If she one day decides to share her personality with the world, like I did when I was younger, we would support that. But now that she's so little…”
Brown said she and her husband have a responsibility to “protect” their daughter from the spotlight. The couple also decided not to publicly reveal their daughter's name until “she is ready to make a decision herself.”
She talked about becoming a parent and how it changed her outlook on life.
“The smaller things in life are so much more valuable. Our days are filled with lots of hugs, laughter and love. It's just endless joy,” she shared.
She also praised Bongiovi for raising her children. “We have a 50-50 split on everything,” she said. “That's why I'm so grateful to have been a partner in this life with him – he's just the most amazing father.”
