The Montreal Alouettes have made Canadian offensive lineman Pierre-Olivier Lestage one of the CFL's highest-paid non-defensive players. about his new contract, which runs until 2028..

According to league sources, Lestage will earn $240,000 in hard money in 2026, plus another $6,000 in potential All-Star incentives. His annual compensation will increase to $250,000 in 2027 and $260,000 in 2028, with the same star incentives available in both years. $40,000 of his salary is guaranteed in 2028, giving him long-term security.

The 28-year-old made 17 starts at left back for the Alouettes in 2025, helping the team reach its 112th Gray Cup in Winnipeg. He was named All-East Division for the first time in his CFL career. He is now at the elite level of offensive lineman compensation in the CFL, joining the likes of Ryan Hunter, Drew DesjarlaisAnd Logan Ferland.

Native of Saint-Eustache, Que. Originally drafted in the second round of the 2021 CFL Draft out of the University of Montreal. He signed with the Alouettes in 2022 after a stint with the Seattle Seahawks and has since played 64 CFL regular-season games, helping Montreal win its 110th Gray Cup in 2023.

“We are thrilled to be able to count on Pierre-Olivier's services for the next three years; this is great news for our football club,” general manager Danny Maccioscia said in a statement. “I've known Pierre-Olivier since his university days and he has an infectious work ethic. He's a regular presence in our dressing room.”

The Montreal Alouettes finished second in the East Division standings in 2025 with a 10-8 record and beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East final before losing the 112th Gray Cup to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
