Maná extends Vivir Sin Aire tour with stops in L.A., Anaheim

Mana just wrapped up her latest performance at the Kia Forum on Saturday night with a sold out show. But there's good news for fans who missed out on seeing the Mexican rock act.

Group announced on Monday that they have added 19 dates to their current Vivir Sin Aire tour, including several stops in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California.

The Honda Center in Anaheim will host Manu on June 5th and 6th. Additional Southern California dates include a Sept. 26 show at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert and an Oct. 10 show at North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista.

Artists “Labios Compartidos” will also perform at the Kia Forum on September 18 and 19 and will continue to expand. their record for most arena appearances in the Los Angeles area to 47. On November 21, the band surpassed Bruce Springsteen's record for most arena performances in Los Angeles with their 43rd such concert in the region.

In honor of Mana's long history with Los Angeles and the Forum's historic site, there is now a permanent wall installation behind the scenes that reads, “The Manas are the Kings of Los Angeles.”

In total, Grammy winners performed more than 30 concerts at the Forum; in 2012 they played 11 sold-out concerts in a row at the Staples Center in support of their eighth album, “Drama Y Luz.” Their further connection to Los Angeles star on the Hollywood Walk of Famewhich was cemented in 2016.

Before taking the stage at their Nov. 21 Forum concert, the band spoke to The Times about their ties to Los Angeles and their message to the band's Latino fans, as well as politics. continue to attack the Hispanic community.

“Los Angeles has always been a big influence on us… and we've seen the city evolve,” lead singer Fer Olvera told The Times in November.
