Jacksonville Jaguars Player Logan Cook was accused of making a vile remark toward a Tennessee Titans player during their heated game on Sunday afternoon.

Titans running back Julius Chestnut said Cook threatened him in the fourth quarter. He blocked Cook as the punter raised his leg and tripped up punt returner Chimere Dyke on the end of a 47-yard return with 14:06 left in the game. Cook was injured and was evaluated for a concussion before returning for a punt later in the quarter.

Players from both teams got into another scuffle at the end of another Dyke comeback with 11:49 left in the game. This led to Chestnut and Cook getting into an incident. Cook was among those who received a fine for unnecessary roughness. Titan Security Mike Brown was ejected.

“I was just trying to play hard and he came up to me and said he was going to kill me,” Chestnut said after the game. “So I don't know what made him do it.”

Chestnut said he never received an explanation for why Cook was upset with him.

“It was amazing for me. I’ve never seen anything like this before,” Chestnut said.

Cook wasn't asked specifically about his steamy moment with Chestnut. After the game, he said that he enjoys hitting people and that Chestnut got the better of him during an “action-packed” game.

The player said he spoke with an official after he kicked the ball from his end zone in the second quarter.

“I might have said some things that would have sounded rude, so I wanted to clear things up,” Cook said of his conversation with the referee. “I don't like it when people get mad at me. So I can tell him the situation and also get his opinion on what happened on that play in the end zone.”

On Monday, Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen dismissed Chestnut's lawsuit.

“I've probably heard this 100 times from players in games,” he said via Florida Times-Union. “So I don't know what made him do it.”

Cook, who became a Pro Bowler last season, has been with the Jaguars for eight years. Jacksonville selected him in the seventh round of the 2018 draft.

Chestnut joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He spent most of his career on the special teams unit.

Cook and Chestnut's fall was not the only incident during the game. Titans linebacker Arden Key got into an altercation with Jaguars offensive lineman Anton Harrison after he hit the Trevor Lawrence.
